Anakeesta Project
Details:
• Work performed by our 5-person OLP Knoxville holiday team. Project designer was Steve Meadows, owner.
• This is the first time Anakeesta, an adventure park in Gatlinburg, has used an outside company for the bulk of their holiday lighting. They still handle many lighting duties in-house.
• All landscaping (trees and bushes) was wrapped with mini lights (5,600 strands, or roughly 280,000 lights) in Blue, Cool White, Red, Multi, Pink, Purple, Green, Gold, and Warm White. Colors were tied to specific decoration themes in various sections of the park. Tight wraps were used on deciduous trees and loose wraps on evergreens.
The project was challenging because of the terrain of the park. Work began Oct. 5 and had to be completed Nov. 14 for the kickoff of the park's Enchanted Christmas.
